Job Duties

Use Predictive PIM analysis for B17. Analyze data and create reports using site pictures, RFDS &amp, Construction Drawing. Also use Quantum Based KPI’s to accurately predict potential PIM. Collect and analyzing DATA for Various mobile technologies GSM/LTE/5G for multiple carriers. Resolve day-to-day issues and support regions to deliver KPI of every LTE/UMTS/GSM cluster. Develop & integrate 5G SUB6 using Ericsson Network Manager for TMO market. Post processing the data using Optis- Analyzer and generating Reports for all the markets and successfully uploading to the server. Utilize “TEMS/NEMO/WIND/XCAL/Solutelia” RF tools for DATA collection, Network performance and Optimization. Test and measure solutions, also used for data collection, Data processing, small cell designing. Create drive routes around the cellular site for performing drive testing. Analyze the KPI issue in depth understanding and take necessary actions to troubleshoot the network performance. Produce Customer Information Questionnaire (CIQ) for 3G and 2G with cell id, WBTS, BSC, RNC, SC to have accurate input for SCF creation. Generate mid mif file to propose new E911 coverage in order to assign proper PSAP for cellular sites including a combination of macro-cells, microcells, small cells. Prepare construction and E911 work order to get GMLC location provisioned for individual cell in the PIER tool. Use tools including GSM/LTE/UMTS/5G technologies, MAPINFO, ACTIX Server, Iperf server, Windcatcher, TEMS Investigation, XCAL, Solutelia, True Call, and TMO Asset

Minimum requirements

Education: Must possess a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience: 1 year of experience in the position offered or a related position.

Special Skills

Aforementioned 1 year of experience must include use of the following skills:
GSM/LTE/UMTS/5G technologies, MAPINFO, ACTIX Server, Iperf server, Windcatcher, TEMS Investigation, XCAL, Solutelia, True Call, and TMO Asset

Position Summary

Primarily provides Radio Access Network (RAN) design engineering and some radio frequency engineering (RF) engineering. Engineer job duties are focused on design with 70% or greater of time spent on design activities.

Job Description

  • Performs network design activities for radio access network.
  • Analyzes, designs, and optimizes wireless network to drive improvements in functionality, performance, and efficiency.
  • Uses propagation models, predictive analysis, various tools/processes, and engineering principles to make additions and changes to the network in support of the organizations strategic objectives.
  • Creates design plans for network expansion and/or modification.
  • Collaborates with multiple teams to ensure engineering designs are implemented as intended and to ensure quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • May include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) activities involving the analysis of RAN data to create design plans to improve all key indexes and performance indicators.
  • Hand on knowledge of Design. Engineering tools like ASSET, ACTIX etc.
  • Design principles of inbuilding networks.
  • Knowledge of iBwave or industry equivalent design tools.

Other Requirement

Must be willing to travel and/or relocate to unanticipated client sites throughout the U.S.

Job Description

  • Providing end to end support for all stages of RF Design including P-RFDS, CD Review, RF CIQ, E911, Port Matrices, Reviewed Closeout package review for Chicago market. Creating 2G,3G Cells with, WBTS, BSC, RNC to have accurate parameter for SCF creation.
  • Working on multiple POR’s like L600, Anchor, L700 4×2, AAS, 5GmmW, & Sprint Retain sites for Chicago market.
  • Preparing preliminary RF data sheet based on spectrum pivot, build matrix, sector count, baseband requirements, radios and confirm spectrum allocation is provided for the new technology.
  • Reviewing Structure Analysis report and Construction Drawing to confirm no discrepancy with finalized RFDS.
  • Building new sites in ASSET and updating the site antenna quantity and assigning sector to respective sector/technology as per planning configuration to escalate additional coverage & capacity.
  • Creating and setting up the propagation model(s) and map the map the antennas that are used in network to see coverage and capacity for the new site design by using MapInfo and Asset.
  • Preparing E911 work order to get GMLC (Gateway Mobile Location Center) and eSMLC (Enhanced Serving Mobile Location Center) data provisioned for individual cell in the pier tool. Use of ASSET, Pier, OneData, RFDS, ELEMENT, SLIPED, M- PILOT, LEMMING, BTS Manager Tool, and RIOT

Qualifications

Education:

Must possess a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications and Network Engineering or related field.

Experience Level: 

1 year of experience in the position offered or a related position.
1 year of experience must include use of the following skills: ASSET, Pier, OneData, RFDS, ELEMENT, SLIPED, M-PILOT, LEMMING, BTS Manager Tool, and RIOT.
